Chef Vacancy – Bury St Edmunds Rugby Club
Bury St Edmunds Rugby Club is seeking a skilled and motivated Chef to join our team. We are willing to consider both a full and part time option, whilst offering the chance to work in a dynamic and community-focused environment.
This role involves preparing and serving food for players, members, and guests during match days, club functions, and other events. The ideal candidate will be experienced, reliable, and capable of working independently as well as part of a team.
Employment Options
1. Part-Time Chef
Hours:
Thursday: 6:00 PM – 9:00 PM
Friday: Day or evening shift (flexible)
Saturday: 10:00 AM – 7:00 PM
Sunday: 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Approximately 25 hours per week
Rate of Pay: £15.00 per hour
Additional: Occasional mid-week shifts and overtime available.
2. Full-Time Chef
Hours:
Approximately 38 hours per week
Evening shifts on Thursday and Friday
Full-day shifts on Saturday and Sunday
Occasional mid-week shifts as required.
Salary: £30,000 per annum
Candidate Requirements
Proven experience working in a professional kitchen
Ability to maintain high food hygiene and safety standards
Excellent time management and communication skills
Flexibility and a strong work ethic
Food hygiene certification preferred
