Bury St Edmunds RUFC is proud to highlight the continued support of ActionCOACH Bury St Edmunds, a partner that shares our core values both on and off the pitch.
This season, the ActionCOACH team has doubled their commitment to the club in a big way.
They are sponsoring the Men's 2nd XV as they compete in the Eastern Counties 1 League.
They are also player-sponsoring Pete White from the Men's 1st XV Wolfpack squad.
"Martin, Merv and the team are valued and proactive sponsors of Bury St Edmunds Rugby Club, and they genuinely have the club’s best interests at heart. We’re proud to have supported their growing involvement over the years, in step with their own impressive business growth. I’m confident that their continued support of our journey - alongside their own ongoing success - will remain closely aligned for many years to come."

A Lifelong Connection to the Game
The relationship between ActionCOACH BSE and the rugby club goes beyond professional ties. Directors Martin Baillie and Merv Jeffery have both held a lifelong passion for the sport.
Both have played and supported the sport from a very young age. Merv, in particular, has deep roots at Greene King IPA Haberden, having played for Bury St Edmunds RUFC from the Under 16s through to the senior squads.
Synergy Between Sport and Business
At ActionCOACH, the team sees a direct link between the discipline of rugby and the world of business coaching.
"Rugby shows what teamwork, resilience, and community spirit really mean," says Martin Baillie. "These are the same values that help businesses and people grow. Supporting local sport is one of the ways we give back and stay connected to the community that supports us."
Being part of the #BuryRugbyFamily means more than just having a logo on a shirt. It is about backing local talent and fostering a growth mindset for high-pressure environments. This remains true whether you are competing in a scrum or leading in a boardroom.
Say Hello on Match Day
ActionCOACH Bury St Edmunds is committed to helping local business owners achieve their goals. They work to improve lifestyles and create new jobs across the East Anglia region.
If you are at a game this season, be sure to look out for Martin or Merv on the touchline. They are always happy to talk about rugby, business, or the squad's successes. As we look forward to the next block of fixtures, the entire team at ActionCOACH BSE wishes the 2nd XV and Pete White every success in the matches ahead!
