As a club rooted in community spirit, we’re committed to supporting causes of all shapes and sizes. While we continue to organise our own charity initiatives, this season we're aiming to open our doors even wider - offering local and national charities, clubs and organisations the chance to raise both funds and awareness through the energy and reach of match day rugby. On Saturday, we are incredibly proud to welcome Samaritans as our Match Day Charity Partner.

We are a local branch of the Samaritans based in Bury St Edmunds. Whilst affiliated to the Samaritans Central Charity we are a charity in our own right and have to raise the £40k it costs us to run the branch each year ourselves. Our vision is that fewer people die by suicide and here in Bury we have around 90 volunteers. most of whom take calls from people is distress but others help with admin, building maintenance, IT and fundraising for example. We are all volunteers - no-one but the cleaner is paid!
