This Saturday marks the final home game of the season for our Men’s 1st XV - and it promises to be a special occasion both on and off the pitch.
After a strong campaign, the 1st XV go into the final home fixture knowing that a win and four points would secure the league title and promotion to National 1. It’s a huge moment for the group, and one that reflects the hard work and commitment shown throughout the season.
But this Saturday is about more than just one team.
Across the club, it has been a season to be proud of. Our Men’s 2nd XV have secured their league title, our Women’s side have successfully retained their place in Championship 1 North following promotion last year, and our wider senior and junior sections continue to represent the club with commitment week in, week out. This weekend is an opportunity to celebrate that collective effort - players, coaches, volunteers and supporters alike.
We’re also looking to make it a great day at the club for everyone who comes down.
Alongside the rugby, there will be a food truck, coffee van, clubhouse bar and our usual matchday offering - with the weather set fair for what should be a brilliant afternoon at the Haberden.
Whether you’re a regular supporter, haven’t been down in a while, or have never been to Bury Rugby before, this Saturday is the perfect time to come along. Bring a friend, bring the family, and be part of what should be a fantastic atmosphere.
Kick-off is at 3 pm, Gates Open 12.30 pm and we’d love to see as many people there as possible to get behind the team and mark the end of the season in style.
One last time at home - make sure you’re there.
