Director of Rugby, James Shanahan said, "I’m really pleased with our pre-season fixtures for both teams. Westcombe Park and Oundle were the only sides to beat our 1st XV last season, and both proved to be tough, physical opponents. With the strength of their squads and some exciting new additions, they will provide exactly the level of challenge we need as we prepare for life in National League 1.

As was the case last season, North Walsham will also provide a stern test and gives us the opportunity to utilise our wider squad as we edge closer to the start of the campaign. They are a strong local club, and I hope this fixture becomes a regular part of both clubs’ pre-season schedules for many years to come.
