Congratulations to Leo Leader and William Herlihy, who are Bury St Edmunds Rugby Club's
Volunteers of the Month for February 2025.
Both Leo and William are junior members of our club and are invaluable members of the #buryrugbyfamily.
Both regularly volunteer their time to support with various club requirements - particularly on a home Men's 1st XV match day. On several occasions, they have answered last minute calls to ensure match day operations continue to run smoothly and put simply, we couldn't have done it without them over the last few months.
William has dedicated his free time to 'man the gates' on a match day, ensuring that all ticketing requirements are met. Often this means that he misses much of the fixture as he stays in situ until the job is done.
Leo is always on hand supporting the Men's 1st XV, helping with many tasks before, during and after the fixtures. He can often be found lugging kit around, fulfilling the ball boy duties or providing water bottles throughout the warm up. The 1st XV are eternally grateful for his work and very much consider him part of the Wolfpack.
Thank you and congratulations to both William and Leo.
They will both receive a burger and drink at the next home game. Plus, an invitation to the Women's 1st XV last home game of the season pre-match luncheon.
