Travelling up to the coast for their latest match the Bury boys came up against Southwold.
From the start of the match Bury dominated with Nicholas Cardozo running in the first try. The game was consistently played with Southwold in defence at the start. A further 2 tries followed from Thomas Peacock with the latter seeing him make the run from one end of the pitch to the other to create the try.
There then followed a lull, the Bury boys seemed to have run out of steam for a while and Southwold took advantage scoring 2 tries before the half time whistle.
In the second half Bury still didn’t quite seem back to form allowing another Southwold try in but then came the turning point. A revitalised Bury stormed back to respond with another 3 tries, Thompson, Derbyshire and Clifford all putting themselves on the scoring board. With some great tackling and strong runs from the boys it was great to see them switch back on and win the game with gusto. The final score 6-3 (the match was played without conversions).
