Bury took the lead through two early tries from Rhys PJ and Bully, both converted by Stuey. Good work from the Swaffham pack saw them pull the score back to 14-12.
Swaffham then scored again before heavy Bury pressure finally told with Kit crashing over from close range, with Stuey adding the extras to take Bury in at half time leading 21-19.
The second half saw Rhys score two more great tries early on using his pace and power with Stu adding the conversions. Swaffham kept fighting and scored a try after poor defending, followed by a great blindside break and try by their scrum half to take the score to 35-31.
The last 10 minutes however saw Bury pull away with three quick tries, the first a penalty try, then George scored his first try for Bury before Rhys scored another try after good play by the backs.
Overall a good and pleasing performance by the lads. Swaffham had a big pack that caused problems at the ruck but when we moved the ball wide we created a lot of opportunities. Man of the match was Connor.
Rob Hasselder reffed for us, for which many thanks, and to Justin for running the line.
Good luck to Swaffham for the rest of the season and thanks to them for such a great game.
