The Mini’s Section at Bury Rugby Club is a vibrant, loud, fun and active place to be. The objective in the Minis is simple – To ensure all players ENJOY their rugby! We don’t split abilities on purpose to allow the more experienced to share their enthusiasm and knowledge wide in each age group.

We start at the under 6’s and 7’s, years 1 & 2 at school, all the way up to the Under 12’s (School year 7), girls are just as welcome as boys. Once girls reach year 7 at school they train with the Vixens - our junior ladies side. Contact info can be found on their page of this website.

We are pleased to say that Bury St Edmunds RUFC Minis is inline with all recommendations and guidance from the RFU and has always been!

Training takes place every Sunday between 10am and Noon at the Club from the 1st Sunday in September, training duration starts at 1 hour for the younger players up to 2 hours at U12.

Please, we insist the first two weeks are free for new members to make sure the club and indeed the game is for your child. If you are renewing your membership this can be done online using the PAYMENT section of this website. If you child is not paid and registered then they will not be able to play any fixtures, fixtures start in October so please make sure this is done by then!

We recommend that all players have the correct equipment including KITE MARK STUDS (as per the world rugby law) and gum shields for the age groups playing contact(U9-U12). To take part you must be registered with the club to qualify for the RFU Insurance cover.

Registration will be required two weeks from any player starting with the Club. When playing matches we prefer that all players wear the current Bury St Edmunds strip which is available from the club shop.

After matches the club provides food for all the players (home and away).

Our club house is open from 9am until the afternoon serving breakfast - please do come in and support your club, we are a social bunch and it is a great way to make new friends!

We also observe the Good Players and Parents Conduct rules, set by the RFU, which makes for fun off and on the pitch.
